I also have a variety of other things I do as a homesteader. I have a small photography business. I love capturing the range of emotions that people have. I take photos of our beautiful countryside, our quaint small towns and God's creatures, great and small to make them into beautiful cards. I retrieve and sell some of the best pinecones that east Texas has to offer. They come in a variety of sizes from small to large. I sell fresh veggies that we grow in our garden in the spring and summertime. I sell our fresh eggs, chicken and (soon to come) duck. I raise Dutch rabbits and sell the baby bunnies for pets. I hand make Christmas ornaments, both wood and glass. I make decorative signs for the house. And lastly, I sell the seeds and small plants from the flowers and herbs I grow throughout the year. My husband builds raised garden beds with wood and corrugated metal. He makes them with legs so there is no bending over, or he makes the type that sits flat on the ground. We make farmhouse dinner tables, coffee tables, end tables and picnic tables. We also make chicken coops and bunny cages. We both really enjoy this lifestyle and the things we are learning.
